The Grace Resource Center uses a holistic approach to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs for those we serve. We utilize a variety of tools to help individuals and families overcome current challenges as well as equip them for future success.
Focus Points
Advocate Services
To provide one-on-one support through encouraging conversation, addressing basic needs, providing referrals, Gospel sharing and prayer.
Case Management
To provide case management, referral and coordination with community and supportive service activities that promote self-sufficiency for clients at HighPoint.
Mental Health Services
To provide referrals to quality counseling to address emotional and psychological issues as well to provide trained mentors to address the overall social well-being of the individuals and families we serve.
Life Skills Empowerment
To equip individuals and families with the life skills needed to increase their knowledge and competency thus increasing self-sufficiency and life management.
Spiritual Health Services
To provide biblical, Christ-centered education and support to clients, affirming their infinite worth, walking alongside them as they learn to seek Christ for wisdom and direction.
Our Partners
Christine Shearin has been volunteering at Highpoint for the past 3 ½ years and has served on the Board for 2 ½ years. Before being a homeschool mom to her two children, Christine served as a case manager and Director of Housing for the Salvation Army in Columbus, OH where she trained and supervised case managers and shelter staff in their emergency and transitional housing programs. She also taught life skills classes and served as the liaison for The Salvation Army in the community. Christine then served as Network Coordinator of the Information and Referral Service at Catholic Charities in Cleveland, OH where she oversaw three different departments including basic needs, older adults and one catch-all program. Christine is excited to take on the new role of Program Manager of HighPoint’s Grace Resource Center where she will once again get to serve both in an administrator’s and a case manager’s role.
