HighPoint Christmas Store 2019!

HighPoint’s 2019 Annual Christmas Store was a huge success! HighPoint clients sign up and come in on the day of the Store, picking up toys for their children.

With 1700+ gifts and over 300 children signed up, 2019 was a record year. Parents and guardians were able to select between 5-8 gifts (not including clothing items, stuffed animal stocking stuffers, and a roll of wrapping paper per child) for each child in their family. Toys offered at the store ranged from Barbie dolls to brand new bicycles. Additionally, a raffle was held for multiple PlayStation 4s and XBox 1s (gaming consoles). Other toys included basketball goals, science kits, makeup, jewelry, remote control cars, and games.

When asked about the sheer volume of gifts in the Christmas Store, HighPoint Executive Director Amee D’Amico said “God’s love for us is extravagant. Our Christmas store was a reflection of the greatness of his gifts to us. It was a blessing to be a part of that experience for our clients.”

This event would not have been possible without the generous donors and volunteers. We are grateful to New Goshen Presbyterian, Covenant United Mehodist, LaGrange Baptist, Christ Church United Methodist, and Ballardsville Baptist Church for their toy donations. We also thank multiple schools, local businesses, and individuals who collected gifts for our store.

This year, our store received tremendous support from the Rawlings Company. Through their holiday fundraisers, employees raised money, which they used to supply our store with over 1000 toys! With their support, this 2019 Christmas Store was

Between processing, planning, setup and take down, we had over 100 volunteers. Many of these volunteers got the special opportunity to be a shopping assistant, walking with the client and helping them select toys for their families.

The Christmas Store is a truly special aspect of HighPoint’s ministry, and we were blessed with an amazing event this year.
