This is Canstruction Oldham’s second annual event! Led by Nick Stephens (Ameriprise), Canstruction Oldham hosts a competition to see which team can make the best sculpture– made completely from non-perishable food items. After the competition, these cans are donated to local charitable organizations!
HighPoint was honored to be one of the three organizations to receive these donations, alongside Barry Stoess Christmas Baskets and Blessings in a Backpack! This year, the event raised nearly 6 tons of cans!
HighPoint especially thanks the Oldham County YMCA, Centerfield Elementary, and Oldham County High School for donating their contributions to HighPoint! We received approximately 7,000 cans of food, which supplied us with green beans and corn for our Thanksgiving boxes. Additionally, we were able to stock our reserve shelves so we can have some backup for our canned goods this winter.
HighPoint is honored to be a part of this event and looks forward to what 2020 will bring for Canstruction Oldham!
