Who We Are

HighPoint Charitable Services exists to meet the ever-growing needs of individuals and families in our community. We serve more than 3,000 families, of which 2,500 visit HighPoint Charitable Services on a regular basis. Between 2011 and 2014 we experienced a 60% increase in the number of individuals served. HighPoint Charitable Services is making a difference in the lives of those caught in the cycle of hunger, poverty and homelessness. Families who might be separated because of the unavailability of life’s most basic needs are given the chance to remain together.

A Look Back

Mission Crestwood began in 1997 as a ministry out of the trunk of a car at Crestwood Baptist Church. The goal was to meet the most basic of human needs – feeding the hungry and clothing the naked. From the trunk of a car and with the help of loving family and friends dedicated to the mission, Mission Crestwood grew. In just a few short years, The Closet and The Pantry needed to expand to meet the needs of the poor and marginalized in Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties. In 2010, Mission Crestwood served more than 4,000 individuals in need. Since then, more than 25,000 have been served.

A Look Forward

Mission Crestwood recently changed its name to HighPoint Charitable Services and moved. Our new location in LaGrange is large enough to house all our services in one location.. We plan to establish a “restaurant” and a Kid’s Café at The Mission Crestwood Resource Center to provide meals for the visiting families. We will continue to seek donations from those committed to helping end the cycle of poverty.
